Car Racing on The Moon in October 2021 Next Year
Car race to be held on the moon in 2021 among high school students
America’s aerospace company Moon Mark is conducting this contest. In this, the help of Elon Musk’s Space X company is being taken. Space X’s rocket will send both cars to the moon via Falcon-9.
Preparations before racing
1. A car will weigh 5.51 pounds
Both cars will be launched through Space X’s own lander Nova-C. Cars will be operated from the earth through WiFi and telemetry. It is currently the beginning stage of the race.
2. Students will make their own cars
High school teams from around the world are being selected for this contest. These groups will have five members each. The car race between the six teams leading up to the final round will be contested and the car race of two teams will be held on the moon. The winning team teamed up with Frank Stephenson, the designer of the hybrid sports car ‘McLaren P-1’. And will design the car.
3. The race will be held in the place of low gravity on the moon
The race will be held at the place where gravity will less on the moon. According to the information, the design of the Lunar circuit track has been given to the well-known German engineer Hermann Tilke.
4. Costs around $ 7.4M
This competition will cost $7.4M. Before October 2021, Moon Mark would capture the entire process and experiment with cameras, and later also produce and distribute cars globally.
